We transformed an underused rooftop into a vibrant al fresco entertaining space, anchored by a custom rooftop outdoor kitchen and a sleek composite deck. The design features integrated bench seating and lush planter accents, blending durable materials with a smart layout. The result is a rooftop retreat that feels like a natural extension of the home— functional, stylish, and built for outdoor living.

WHAT WE DID?
Deck Preparation & Installation: Prepped the rooftop surface with a waterproof membrane and installed composite decking boards in a clean, linear layout—ensuring a slip-resistant, low-maintenance foundation.
Custom Outdoor Kitchen Island: Built a custom stainless-steel grill station with a polished granite countertop, integrated storage drawers, and weather-proof cabinetry—tailored for functionality and modern style.
Stucco Planter Wall & Bench: Constructed a low stucco wall along the deck’s perimeter, finished in white render, and added a cantilevered IPE wood bench for seamless built-in seating.
Planter Boxes & Privacy Screen: Fabricated custom steel-and-wood planters filled with boxwoods and grasses; installed a living wall hedge panel to define the space and create privacy from neighboring rooftops.
Utility Hookups & Finishing: Connected gas and electrical lines for the grill, installed hidden lighting wiring, sealed every joint for weather resistance, and power-washed all surfaces to reveal a crisp, finished look.

The rooftop now functions as a turnkey outdoor living space where cooking, dining, and lounging unfold effortlessly under the open sky.
